Wind Turbine Site Assessment and Plan

Wind Turbine Site Assessment and Plan

A Wind Site Assessment and Plan provides the necessary information needed by a prospective wind turbine owner to assess average and max wind speed, site feasibility, project cost, available financial incentives, and ROI. Our service also provides the local power company the details for an Interconnection Agreement. See the details below for all that we provide:

1. Our representative will visit your site, conduct the measurements, take photos and provide you with a binder of the information listed below.

2. The cost for our Site Assessment and Plan services is $500 (plus travel expenses) and includes the following:

a) A plan map of the site. This birds-eye type map illustrates the prospective site(s), nearby roads, buildings, power lines and waterways, and shows the required setback distances.

b) GPS (Global Positioning System) latitude/longitude coordinates of the site.

c) Elevation of the site (feet above sea level).

d) Digital photos of the site with a virtual wind turbine and tower installed.

e) A spreadsheet containing the following:

• The total turbine, tower and installation costs (turnkey total)

Projected tax benefits, credits and documentation
Projected production of electricity
Projected sales of renewable energy credits
Tax exemptions documentation
Other income, grant and benefit possibilities

f) Research data on wind speed and direction from nearest wind-monitor sites.

g) Information on the wind turbine, inverter, controls and tower.

h) Interconnection line drawing and specs for the Power Company and electrician.
